Meet Ana Jordanova: Our New Applications Engineer Bringing Precision and Passion to Suncombe
We are pleased to introduce Ana Jordanova, the newest addition to our Suncombe family. With a robust background in biomedical science and a passion for client-facing roles, Ana is set to bring her unique blend of skills and enthusiasm to our team. Only on day 3, and we set Phil off on an interview with Ana to find out more about her… with only a couple of hours notice, capturing the real Ana.
Why Ana Joined Suncombe
Ana’s journey to Suncombe highlights her dedication and passion for the pharmaceutical industry. After earning her undergraduate degree in biomedical science from Brunel University and a master’s in precision medicine from UCL, where she was top of her class and on the Deans’ list, Ana embarked on a diverse career path. Initially Ana worked on green energy projects during COVID with a government agency and later joined ThermoFisher, where she spent over two years in operations and project management.
Her move to Suncombe was driven by our company culture and the niche services we provide in the pharmaceutical sector. “The appeal for me has always been the company culture that I’m very aware of, which real sets them apart. The company operates at such a high level, and it’s rare to get the opportunity to work for a company that’s the best in the world in so many areas,” Ana shared.
Ana’s Experience
Ana’s experience is as diverse as it is impressive. At ThermoFisher, she worked closely with major pharmaceutical clients, managing fast-paced, client-facing roles. Now, as an Applications Engineer/Scientist at Suncombe, Ana is excited to streamline our sales processes and enhance customer experience. “I’m still getting to grasp with the scope of everything, but I think we’re going to work towards ensuring our sales and quotes are streamlined and capturing the full extent of our clients’ needs,” she explained.
Stranded on an Island
When asked what three items she’d take if stranded on an island, Ana chose a Kindle, a water filtration system, and a hunting rifle, despite admitting she has no hunting skills. No going hungry while Ana is about!
Reading Challenges
Ana is an avid reader who completed 180 books last year and always finishes her Kindle challenges. She shared this fun fact with a mix of pride and amusement, noting, “I think I’m becoming less fun as I get older!” This playful self-awareness endears Ana to her colleagues and reflects her well-rounded personality.
